1 – MEMBERS

Article 1.1: Annual membership fee

Members must pay the annual membership fee, set and voted on by the Krav Maga Tain Tournon "KMTT" association during the general meeting. Fees cover the period from September 1st to August 31st. Classes are not held during school holidays. However, depending on instructor availability, some sessions may still be maintained.

Instalment payment is possible (this is only a cash-flow facility; the association is not a credit institution). Cheques will in all cases be cashed one month apart. This is a membership fee, not a subscription.

The association is governed by the French law of 1901. It does not seek to make a profit. Members' fees cover the association's operating costs: federation dues, insurance, equipment rental and/or purchase, training, various supplies, etc.

A budget report is presented at the general meeting.

No refund will be given for stopping the activity due to administrative directives, a pandemic, personal or medical convenience, exclusion, or other constraints.

Article 1.2: Registration file

Members must provide a complete registration file including:

• a medical certificate less than 3 months old explicitly stating fitness to practise Krav Maga,
• a photograph,
• a registration form, read, duly completed and signed by the member and their legal representative if applicable,
• an application for an FFKDA licence for the current season,
• a parental authorization for minors,
• the internal rules acknowledgment form, confirming that you have read these rules and agree to abide by them. It must state your surname and first name, the date, your signature, and the words "read and approved". For minors, it must also be signed by a legal representative.

Two free, no-obligation consecutive trial sessions are offered. To benefit from them and be covered in case of an accident, you must register at the start of the session and present a medical certificate allowing the practice of martial arts, or sign a waiver.

Registration only becomes final once the full membership fee and all registration documents have been provided.

Article 1.3: Clothing and equipment

Members must have the appropriate clothing and equipment, namely:

• a plain black or official KMTT t-shirt, black trousers,
• holders of a duly obtained colored belt must wear it,
• a pair of boxing gloves, minimum 12oz for men and 10oz for women,
• a pair of soft shin guards, a mouthguard, a groin protector, and a chest protector for women,
• as well as a pair of clean, smooth-soled shoes reserved exclusively for indoor Krav Maga practice.
• boxing mitts may be allowed after approval by instructors for light sparring and with the partner's agreement, but may not be used in committed combat. Particular attention will be paid to the protective quality of gloves towards training partners (padding and covering quality).

Tatami classes must be practised barefoot. Sandals must be used off the tatami. Glasses are prohibited during exchanges. Only soft contact lenses are permitted. Any ostentatious signs (political, religious, etc.) are not accepted in the training hall.

Article 1.4: Code of conduct and moral code

Members must respect the moral code and code of conduct of the discipline practised (honesty, non-aggressiveness, humility). Failure to respect these may lead to permanent exclusion from the association.

Article 1.5: Following instructions

Members must behave respectfully and in a disciplined manner so as not to disrupt the class or other participants. They must remain silent during the salute and technical explanations. They agree to follow the instructions given by the responsible instructor during classes and to comply with the directives and guidance of the club's officials.

Article 1.6: Respect for other members

Members must behave respectfully, verbally and physically, towards other members and club officials. Failure to respect this article results in permanent exclusion from the association.

Article 1.7: Punctuality – Schedule

Members must respect the opening and closing times of the hall. Members wishing to train must be present from the start of class in order to benefit from the entire session, including warm-up. A member arriving a few minutes late must ask the responsible instructor for permission to join the class.

Repeated, unjustified lateness allows the instructor to refuse the student access to the class.

Schedule changes, or even class cancellations, may occur during the year.

Article 1.8: Use of the premises and equipment

The premises may only be used in the presence of an association official, board member or steering committee member. Members of the association must comply with the rules for using the sports facilities.

Members must take care of the equipment, help put it away, and comply with the instructions for use given by the responsible instructor.

Members are responsible for equipment made available to them and must, in case of loss or damage, replace it or reimburse its full replacement value.

Depending on the damage caused to the premises or equipment and/or failure to respect this article, access to the hall may be refused. A permanent exclusion measure may be taken by the Steering Committee, with no refund of membership fees.

Article 1.9: Cleanliness and hygiene

During training, members must have clean, short fingernails and toenails, hair tied back, and wear no jewelry. Training clothing must be clean. A member whose hygiene is questionable may be refused access to classes.

Consumption of alcohol or other illicit substances is prohibited on the association's premises. Any member found to be intoxicated, by the effect of any substance whatsoever, will be refused access to the facilities.

Smoking or vaping is prohibited on the premises.

Article 1.10: Minor members

Minors must provide parental authorization on the day of registration. The presence of one of the two parents is required on the day of registration.

Minors are accepted from their 16th year, of the current season, without their parents present.

Minors aged 14 to 16 will only be accepted on the condition that one parent is present during class, either as an accompanying adult or as a student.

Article 1.11: Technical seminars

Technical seminars may be paid, with the price set according to the duration of the seminar and the costs incurred. Payment must be made on the day of the seminar. If a member reserves a place to take part in a technical seminar, the amount remains due if they cancel their participation on their own initiative less than 24 hours before the start of the seminar.

Article 1.12: Grade examinations

Grade is a very strong symbol within martial arts and KRAV MAGA; it is what allows a practitioner's level to be recognized, and it is also what allows the practitioner to gauge their objectives. However, everyone is free to take, or not take, the examinations.

Obtaining a colored belt is subject to passing a grade examination and cannot be requested at the end of a season of practice.

2 – THE ASSOCIATION

Article 2.1: How the association operates

The "KMTT" association is secular and open to all; it is governed by the French law of 1901 on associations, registered with the Drôme Prefecture. It is run by a Steering Committee in accordance with its bylaws. The board is made up of officials appointed or dismissed by the Board of Directors to ensure the tasks needed for the club to run properly. All club officials are volunteers.

Article 2.2: Respecting the schedule

The association undertakes to respect the start and end times of classes and the opening hours of the premises, subject to the availability of the facilities.

Article 2.3: Theft, loss or damage

The association is not responsible for theft, loss or damage to personal property occurring on the premises.

Article 2.4: Failure to respect rules and instructions

The association cannot be held liable for accidents resulting from failure to respect safety rules and instructions, or from the carelessness of one or more of its members.

Article 2.5: Arbitration of disputes

The association's Steering Committee has sole authority to judge how the club operates and to arbitrate any disputes that may arise between members, or between members and officials. Decisions of the Steering Committee are final.

Article 2.6: Members' private data

The association undertakes not to disclose its members' private data for commercial purposes.

Article 2.7: Right to image

The association's member, and their legal guardian(s) where applicable, authorize the Krav Maga Tain Tournon association to photograph and/or film them during organized activities, and to possibly use these images for the purpose of promoting the association, without claiming any compensation whatsoever.

In case of disagreement, a request must be made in writing and sent to the Steering Committee.
